We plan to move the following services to the new Internet circuit this week.
Tuesday 3/6
The ALA Website and the Ecommerce sites will be given the highest priority.
Services will be migrated after hours beginning promptly at 5pm. We estimate the outages to vary from one to two hours per service.
Background
We have signed contracts with a different Internet Service Provider. The new Internet circuit is up and operational and in use for some of our systems. This new circuit gives us more bandwidth and reduces our telecom costs.
Note that this is affecting logging in to ALA Connect right now. More info as we have it, but I’ll post an all-clear via the Connect Twitter account, too (http://twitter.com/alaconnect).
Aaaaand, logging in to Connect is back. If you still encounter any problems, please let us know.
We’re wrapping up for tonight. There were a few bumps, but most have been leveled off. The website was up quickly; logins took more effort. Logins were working after 8:30.
There are a few services that aren’t yet running: km.ala.org should be restored Wednesday. The file upload utility will take more work.
We are experiencing problems with the ALA Website login. We’re working on it.
The ALA Website login issue has been resolved.
